Watch Instructions

Short & simple: How to set your watch correctly.

Automatic Watches (No Battery)

Automatic means: The watch has no battery. It runs through movement on your wrist and can also be wound using the crown.

If the watch stops

  • Unscrew the crown (turn it toward you).
  • Turn the crown clockwise about 20–40 times.
  • Wear the watch for a short time or gently move it.

Tip: After long shipping or not wearing the watch for a while, this is normal.

Setting the time

  • Unscrew the crown.
  • Pull the crown all the way out (last click).
  • Set the time (clockwise).

Securing the crown

  • Push the crown back in and screw it down firmly.

Date & GMT (if available)

Some models feature a date display and/or a GMT function (second time zone).

Setting the date

  • Unscrew the crown.
  • Pull the crown out slightly (first click).
  • Set the date using the crown.

Note: If the date does not change immediately, continue turning the time – this is normal.

Setting the GMT

  • Set the GMT hand in the first click position.
  • It runs on a 24-hour cycle.

Chronograph (Stopwatch Function)

A chronograph features an integrated stopwatch function.

Why the hand often does not move

The large hand belongs to the stopwatch and usually stays at 12 o’clock when not in use. The running seconds are shown on the sub-dial.

Using the stopwatch

  • Upper pusher: Start / Stop
  • Lower pusher: Reset
